Hello Mountain Bikers,
We’re excited to get the season started and get back on our bikes! But before we do, we want to alert you about new safety precautions we will be taking this year to mitigate risk around the spread of COVID-19.
As you know, your safety has always a been the number one priority of Tahoe Mountain Bike Girls. As we face the challenges presented by COVID-19, we are implementing new procedures to ensure we are compliant with current health and safety guidelines .
To minimize the risk of transmission, we have asked that our team members, along with each of our riders, follow the measures outlined below.
If you are not feeling well, please stay home.
This year our rides will be limited to 4 ride groups which include: beginners, intermediate, advanced intermediate and advanced riders. Each group will have a unique start time and these times will be staggered 5 minutes apart. Unfortunately, there will be no drop-ins for our rides this year.
Arrive promptly for your ride. Ride groups will depart 5 minutes apart to ensure that trailheads and parking areas do not become overly congested.
Maintain a 6-foot distance between riders. We ask all riders to be diligent and respectful about maintaining a safe distance at all times.
Please bring hand sanitizer with you to all Tahoe Mountain Bike Girls events. Wash your hands or use hand sanitizer frequently throughout the event.
Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue or elbow when coughing or sneezing. Wash your hands or use hand sanitizer immediately afterward.
Make sure to bring your own food, water, clothing and bike equipment. We are requesting that riders not touch another person’s bike, equipment, food, or water.
Our team members will guide each rider on how to perform their own bike and equipment check prior to the ride. If we need to touch your bike to help with set-up or repair, we will do so at a safe distance from you and sanitize properly before and after.
It’s going to be a great season! We can’t wait to see you out on the trails! If for any reason you are not comfortable with the guidelines above or have concerns or feedback, please contact Kim Larson at firstname.lastname@example.org.
